Upper middle-class, no mediocrity:
Four new ViewSonic Graphics Series LCD monitors.

Whilst high-end LCD monitors may have their high price, the low-cost entry-models very often do not reach the requisite performance for their intended purpose. Users seeking an optimum mix of Performance, Features and Cost, should look no further than the ViewSonic Graphics Series. These mid-range models offer great value for money. Hot on the heals of the successful launch of the 19" ViewSonic VG191 late last year, these four new additions will be available with 15" to 19" screens and boast a particularly slim design featuring a black casing with metallic-silver bezel.

The native resolution of the new LCD monitors is 1280 x 1024 - 1.3 megapixels

(15": 1024 x 768 - 0.8 megapixels). Contrast ratios range between 350:1 and 500:1 with brightness levels of 250 nits. Models of 18" or larger utilise high-performance IPS or MVA panels ensuring respective horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 160°/160° and 170°/170° and fast response times. All these new TFTs are equipped with integrated speakers for good business sound reproduction when used for multimedia purposes.

With a more efficient layout of internal electronic components that enables a more aesthetically pleasing design, the Graphic Series LCD monitors appear considerably more slender and elegant than their predecessors.

All LCD displays are fitted with analogue interfaces and are PC and Mac compatible as well as TCO '99 certified. They comply to ISO-13406-2, class 2 standard, which protects customers by clearly defining important visual ergonomic elements such as acceptable contrast, brightness and pixel errors. It is the most effective and comprehensive standard currently available. Furthermore, all models are backed by the ViewSonic three-year on-site warranty in most European countries.

The 15" to 18" LCD monitors are expected to be available from ViewSonic dealers in May / June. They will be followed by the 19" VG900 during summer and later in the year, by the 20" VG2000.
