ViewSonic, the visual technology company, hasa boosted its CRT range with the addition of two large screen CRTs - the high performance P220f and GS815.

Designed with a 22" screen (20" viewable), the P220f strengthens the ViewSonic Professional Series. It utilises the company's PerfectFlat technology to offer a completely flat, distortion-free image with minimal glare.

PerfectFlat eliminates reflection and, unlike the curved screen surface of conventional displays, reflects light away from the user. The P220f combines a perfectly flat edge-to-edge screen with an aperture grille to deliver precise images across the entire screen surface that ensures superior colour definition and enhanced picture clarity.

The P220f is designed for demanding applications such as DTP, imaging, pre-press, gaming and Internet use. With its ARAG screen it will provide users with super contrast, excellent colour saturation and a crisp image.

The display boasts a super fine 0.25-0.27mm variable aperture grille pitch for exceptional screen performance. In addition, the display offers a flicker free recommended resolution of 1,280 x 1,024 @ 89Hz and a maximum resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 @ 77Hz.

ViewSonic has also launched its first 21"short depth Graphics Series display, the space-saving GS815. Featuring a super-fine 0.21mm horizontal dot pitch, a wide video input bandwidth of 300 MHz for great image definition and stability, and a SuperClear^® screen technology for vivid colours and maximum clarity.

The GS815 has a maximum flicker-free resolution of 1,920 x 1,440 @ 80Hz and incorporates many advanced features such as self-convergence and automatic luminance adjustment to deliver the ultimate image performance.

To reduce set-up time, whilst maintaining full functionality, both the P220f and GS815 have easy to use digital OnView^® controls for precise display settings. In addition, the displays also feature a new base design to allow an optional USB hub to be attached directly to any peripheral for increased connectivity and improved functionality. Both units are TCO '99 certified, PC '99 compliant and feature Plug & Play in both Mac and PC environments.

The estimated street price (ESP) for the ViewSonic P220f is only £569 and the GS815 costs just £599 ex-VAT. Both displays are backed by a three-year Express Exchange, warranty and are readily available.
