VIEWSONIC NAMES MEL TAYLOR TO LEAD EUROPEAN MARKETING
ViewSonic® Corporation, a worldwide Visual Technologies™ leader, today announced the appointment of Mel Taylor as Vice President, Director of Marketing for ViewSonic Europe. Taylor brings more than 16 years of experience driving marketing within global high-tech companies including Fujitsu Siemens and StorageTek. He is tasked with developing the positioning of ViewSonic across Europe and overseeing pan-European marketing initiatives.
“Building a successful global corporation requires excellence in every territory without exception,” said Chris Franey, Senior Vice President, Managing Director ViewSonic Europe. “I am confident that Mel’s experience teamed with his ambitions for the company’s entrance into new product categories will add significant depth to the ViewSonic management team and strengthen ViewSonic’s position in the European region.”
Taylor most recently served as Director of Marketing for Fujitsu Siemens for two and half years where he led the company to profit in the UK and Ireland for the first time as well as increasing the reseller base by 100%. In this role he led a team with responsibility for channel and business development, strategic planning and product management in the UK and Ireland. Prior to that, Taylor worked as European Marketing Director for StorageTek for 13 years. Taylor has a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma and earned a HNC Electrical Engineering & Computer Studies at Bromsgrove College.
