ViewSonic strengthens its position on the projector market with a comprehensive new warranty and new DLP models

From 1 April, ViewSonic, a worldwide leader in visual display products, will provide an even more comprehensive warranty and service policy for its projector range in all current EU and EFTA countries. With this new service offering as well as the introduction of new models, the company plans to strengthen its position in this growth market.

‘Carefree package’ included with projector purchase

The warranty for all ViewSonic LCD and DLP projectors from 1 April 2004 is valid for three years, and includes an on-site exchange service during this period. ViewSonic not only underscores the quality and durability of its projectors with this new offer. Much more, the customer receives an additional service, which doesn’t leave him or her stranded in the event that service is required. If a unit is defective, the customer can simply call the hotline. The hotline staff will make sure that the unit is picked up on the spot – conveniently and without any bureaucracy – and exchanged for an equivalent projector.

New DLP projectors

European première at CeBIT 2004: With the models PJ255D and PJ655D, ViewSonic is introducing two new DLP projectors with XGA resolution in Hanover. Both models deliver a contrast of 2000:1, a manual zoom and focus and a digital keystone correction. In addition, they are each equipped with an S-Video, component and composite input. The two new projectors can process PAL, SECAM, NTSC and HDTV signals. They will be available from quality dealers in March.

The PJ255D weighs only 0.95kg and when set up requires less space than an A5-sized piece of paper. It has been specially designed for mobile users and fits conveniently into any briefcase. With its high contrast and brightness of 1,100 ANSI lumens, it delivers brilliant, crystal-clear images in lush, realistic colours.

The model PJ655D is directed at business and private users. Its delivery of bright images is sure to impress both at business presentations and for DVD home movie entertainment in the living room. In addition to a high contrast, it provides an impressive brightness of 2,300 ANSI lumens. This model is also equipped with two 3 watt loudspeakers.
