ViewSonic offers 8 millisecond panel

ViewSonic, a worldwide leader in visual display products, now offers its 17” VP171 LCD monitor with a panel that boasts an ultra-fast response time of merely eight milliseconds. Initially launched a little under two years ago, this model is one of the company’s most highly-awarded by IT publications and is already considered a classic within the industry. With the new 8ms panel, the VP171 is ideal for business applications and great for fast-paced games and action films- enabling viewing without distortion or annoying ghosting effects. ViewSonic is one of the first players in the industry to have a product available on the market with such fast reaction times.

The VP171’s efficient and highly ergonomic design is supplied in a choice of either a black or silver-black version. Its panel provides users with a contrast ratio of 500:1 (typical) and brightness of 300 nits (typical) for comfortable viewing, increased productivity and great fun, in a wide range of ambient conditions.

During conception of this product, besides good looks, the designers placed particular emphasis on ergonomics: The VP171 can be adjusted in height by up to 11cm, tilted vertically by 30° and swivelled up to 90° on its horizontal axis. Moreover, the whole screen can be rotated by 90°, thereby enabling portrait image views – a real boon for displaying and working on larger documents without needing to scroll. The PC and Mac compatible VP171 is equipped with an integrated power supply as well as one digital and two analogue inputs.
