First 23” panoramic LCD from ViewSonic
View Sonic, a worldwide leader in visual display products, now provides for an even bigger desktop workspace. At 23”, the VP231wb wide-screen LCD monitor is designed to meet the most stringent professional demands. Fast-faced, high-resolution depictions that are needed in a large format are its speciality. This multifunctional HDTV-compatible monitor from the multi-award-winning VP series is ideal for graphic designers, video editing, CAD/CAM applications as well as demanding gamers.
With its 16:9 aspect ratio, the VP231wb fulfils the requirements for editing high-resolution videos to a tee. A viewable diagonal of almost 60cm ensures sufficient display area for two adjacent A4-format pages together with the toolbar or for analysis of extra-wide tables. Its respective brightness and contrast values of 500:1 and 250cd/m² and sRGB-compatible colour space ensure striking depictions in bright, vibrant colour across the entire 1,920 x 1,200 pixel screen. A fast response time of 16ms guarantees a pleasurable video entertainment experience without any bothersome ghosting effects. The VP231wb supports HDTV signals (480i, 480p, 720p and 1080i) and offers multiple inputs for Macs and PCs, including an analogue and digital DVI-I connection with high-definition content protection (HDCP). Furthermore, an integrated USB 2.0 Hi-Speed hub enables additional connectivity options.

Thanks to its especially narrow bezel, which measures just 22mm, this model is an excellent choice for multiple display configuration options, supporting extensive tiling and stacking combinations that are practically seamless. This provides for particularly good overviews of simulations and games with panorama views and also allows for efficient multitasking. Besides the adjustment of diverse standard settings, a comprehensive, yet user-friendly on-screen menu offers further helpful functions such as zoom, hue, saturation and the availability of a picture-in-picture option. Ergonomic needs were also specially considered in the design of this model, with a height adjustment of up to 11cm possible and the ability to tilt and swivel the screen. Moreover, allowing better viewing of lengthy documents without the need for scrolling, the VP231wb can be rotated from its usual landscape format to a portrait orientation.
The new model is available now from specialist dealers and e-tailers. A three-year warranty with toll-free hotline and on-site exchange service is also provided.
