Press Release
February, 2006Impressive cinema & convincing business presentations: ViewSonic introduces three new projectors
With the PJ406D, PJ458D and PJ656 ViewSonic, a worldwide leader in visual display products, introduces two new DLP projectors plus one model based on LCD technology. Each delivers impressive performance for both striking presentations in business environments or thrilling large-format home-cinema viewing.
The three models each guarantee razor-sharp depictions due to high contrast and brightness, with luminosity ranging from 1,900-2,100 ANSI lumens. The 4:3 aspect ratio may be simply switched to 16:9, allowing the latest blockbusters to be viewed in their original format without annoying black stripes at the top and bottom. Weighing in at between two and three kilograms, all three projectors can be transported easily. And due to their compact construction, even the largest of the three models merely has a footprint that is approximately the size of an A4-page.
To give presentations a dynamic boost, multiple data sources may be connected concurrently. Thanks to the zoom function, the projectors are suitable for use in numerous types of rooms, with vertical Keystone correction ensuring depictions remain free of distortion.
All new models can process a range of video and data signals, including HDTV. When switched to Eco Mode lamp life is extended to 3,000 hours, or even 4,000 hours on the PJ656. That’s enough for around 2,000 or 2,600 feature films of average length, respectively. The Eco Mode also ensures these models’ operating noise is kept pleasantly low at 30-33 decibels.
Due to their exceptional ease-of-use and straightforward, trouble-free installation, the three new projectors are also ideal for novices and users that are not technically inclined. Each model comes with a soft carrying bag, remote control (PJ656 with mouse control function), Wizard CD-ROM plus an A/V cable connection set.
“Two of the three new models are DLP types. In this way, ViewSonic ensures the clear increase in demand for this type of projector technology is admirably met,” comments Keith Talbott, Sales Director - UK and Ireland. “At the same time, ViewSonic proves its commitment to adapting fast to the changing trends in technology.”
The new models will be available from selected dealers and e-tailers.
