ViewSonic introduces the ultimate HD-ready experience for gamers and entertainment buffs with 24” screen and stylish housing
May 31, 2007 – In its continued commitment to giving consumers the best in value und performance, ViewSonic adds a new LCD monitor to its growing widescreen, multimedia, high-definition display portfolio. The feature-packed 24” display VX2435wm takes gaming and entertainment experiences to new heights with its large screen, allowing users to fully immerse themselves in all the action. Furthermore, this ultra-stylish model provides consumers with everything they need to access, use, and experience more from the latest digital content and technology offerings.
The HDMI enabled and Windows Vista Premium certified VX2435wm is the ideal display for a true HD experience, whether connected to a PC, HD gaming console or an HD video source.
The display provides a native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels allowing this large screen 24” LCD to provide more details then usually found on current full-HD LCD-TVs. A wide range of connectivity options, including HDMI, component, S-Video, composite and PC-VGA, ensures maximum flexibility. Toggling between those inputs is as simple as the push of a button.
The component video input and the digital HDMI input with high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) are ideal for hooking up an Xbox 360 HD gaming console or the PS3 HD console. Moreover, these inputs also make it possible to work with a DVD recorder as well as HD sources such as like HD-DVD and Blu-ray.
Along with high resolution the VX2435wm delivers superior images with a high contrast ratio of 1000:1, 500cd/m² of brightness (typ.) and a fast video response time of 8 milliseconds (g-t-g). The integrated smart colour engine – which optimises the colour and skin tones of games, movies, text and photos – guarantees the best performance for all uses. The 16:10 theatre aspect ratio enables widescreen viewing for a stirring cinematic experience and helps players to easily keep track during intense gaming.
The integration of full-sound stereo speakers provides users with more room by freeing up valuable desktop space. The display can be wall mounted and is environmentally friendly with standby power consumption below one watt.
The VX2435wm is Microsoft Windows Vista premium logo certified meaning that its features and functions are fully compatible with the performance standards of Microsoft’s new operating system. This allows users to realise the visual advantages of faster graphics processing speeds, superior brightness, richer colours, shadows and other visual qualities that are critical to true, high-definition entertainment experiences.
