ViewSonic release a range of displays which are versatile, adjustable and integrate media options for work and play
LCDs maximise Windows Vista with webcam functionality and boast a sleek design
27th June, 2007 – ViewSonic takes its LCD line to the next level of integration with the introduction of the 55 series LCDs 20” VX2055wmb/wmh and 22” VX2255wmb/wmh that include a bezel-mounted 1.3 megapixel webcam and microphone. The widescreen displays, built on the Windows Vista platform, provide consumers with display options that suit today’s digital lifestyle and meet the needs of the growing number of virtual office workers. Both these sleekly-designed models are available in gloss piano-black (wmb) and piano-key white (wmh) finish, ensuring their performance is matched with style.

Individuals are using computers for an increasing number of tasks that demand more of the entire system, including the display. ViewSonic’s 55 series monitors offer outstanding features to meet these growing needs. The integrated webcam and built-in microphone take advantage of the rising use of VOIP and make the displays perfect for communicating with family, friends or remote business partners. A 1680 x 1050 resolution creates clear, crisp images while an ultra-fast 5ms response time prevents ghosting and blurring to enhance video conversations, movie watching and gaming. The larger viewing area of the widescreen displays enables multitasking, such as viewing multiple documents or applications without toggling.
With most users spending countless hours at a desk at work and home, the VX2055wmb/wmh and VX2255wmb/wmh offer a variety of ergonomic and health benefits, including more than 80mm of height adjustment and a full 360° of swivel that allows the displays to be adjusted to suit each individual needs. In addition, users will experience reduced eye strain with the 300cd/m² of brightness (typ.) and 1000:1 contrast ratio (typ.) of the VX2055wmb/wmh and the 280cd/m² of brightness (typ.) and 700:1 contrast ratio (typ.) of the VX2255wmb/wmh.
The 55 series displays carry the Windows Vista Premium logo, which ensures reliability, stability, security and proper installation, as well as the ability to take advantage of the latest Windows innovations and functionalities.
