VP ThinEdge Series with PerfectSuite Sets a New Standard for Enterprise Performance
ViewSonic® Corp., a worldwide leader in visual display products, today announced the newest additions to its VP ThinEdgeTM Series of LCDs. The 17-inch VP730 and 19-inch VP930 are designed for professional users that demand maximum display productivity and unlimited configuration versatility, and are provided with PerfectSuiteTM Control Software that automates colour calibration, asset management and theft deterrence for IT managers*.
Targeted at high-density data-critical environments such as financial trading floors, graphic production studios, medical, engineering and scientific laboratories, the VP ThinEdge Series is ideal for large-scale enterprise installations. PerfectSuite further enhances the appeal of the VP730 and VP930 in the enterprise by simplifying and automating time-intensive processes for IT managers.
For example, PerfectSuite enables the creation of multiple custom settings for office applications and multimedia and allows users to instantly switch between these settings with the touch of a key. Software based screen adjustments provide a more intuitive and easier set up, especially when the displays are wall-mounted—like in trading floor and medical environments— where a user cannot reach the buttons. Advanced colour calibration and white balance achieve the optimum image across all displays, eliminating the need to adjust each monitor manually, while an auto pivot function recognizes when the screen is changed between portrait and landscape modes. Asset management is made possible with the ability to display serial numbers, device characteristics, re-set factory defaults and power on/off while an advanced theft deterrent feature helps IT professionals protect their equipment.

Both monitors offer an ultra-slim bezel featuring an industrial design that enables advanced ergonomic adjustments—including 110mm height adjustment range, a 270 degree swivel, pivot and tilt—as well as multiple-display setups and digital multiplatform connectivity. The VP730 offers 300 nits of brightness, a 500:1 contrast ratio and 160-degree viewing angles, the VP930 provides 250 nits of brightness, a 1000:1 contrast ratio and 170-degree viewing angles. Each display offers a 1280x1024 resolution for clear, crisp images and boasts ultra-fast 8ms response times for seamless viewing of multimedia applications.
Compliant with the strictest safety and environmental standards — including TCO, ENERGY and ENERGY STAR® — the VP730 and VP930 supersede the VP171 and VP191. The VP930 is available now, and the VP730 available from October at specialist dealers and e-tailers. The displays are covered under ViewSonic’s three-year service warranty, including a free on-site exchange service.
