ViewSonic introduces thinnest, lightest Microsoft Windows powered Pocket PC in its class
ViewSonic® Corporation, a worldwide Visual Technologies™ leader, today announced that it will expand its current mobile and wireless product portfolio to include a Microsoft® Windows Powered Pocket PC Personal Digital Assistant The Pocket PC V35 operates on the Microsoft Pocket PC 2002 software platform and is the smallest, lightest and lowest priced Pocket PC running the very latest XScale processor from Intel®.
The Pocket PC V35 provides customers with a rich and familiar user interface and an enhanced personal information manager, as well as the ability to retrieve e-mail, play music, read e-books and watch video. In addition to this broad assortment of applications, ViewSonic will ship a custom Microsoft PowerPoint® file viewer and a digital image viewer application with the Pocket PC V35.

"With ViewSonic's Pocket PC V35, consumers shopping for a personal digital assistant will no longer have to sacrifice functionality, application familiarity and style for affordability."
At a trim 4.2 ounces, the ViewSonic V35 offers a 'no compromises' Pocket PC PDA. An Intel 300MHz XScale processor, along with 32MB flash memory and 64MB SDRAM (36,45MB user accessible), combine for high-power performance.
The Pocket PC V35 features a 3.5-inch 240 x 320 LCD display, a long life Lithium-ion battery and four launch buttons for easily identifying and updating contacts, tasks, notes and calendar schedules. A convenient and easy-to-use jog dial allows users to quickly and easily navigate through files and applications, while a built-in Secure Digital (SD) slot provides additional memory, input-output and connectivity options.
The Pocket PC V35 will be available at the end of March from selected retail outlets with a one-year warranty.
