ViewSonic unveils Smart Displays retail partners across Europe
Consumers can purchase airpanels on popular online shopping sites and at leading retails outlets
ViewSonic® Corp., a worldwide Visual Technologies™ leader, today revealed its retail partners in UK, France and Germany for 10" and 15" Smart Displays, wireless touch screen monitors that allow users to access their PC from any room in the home, surf the web in the bedroom, do emails on the patio in the garden, or show friends digital holiday snaps in the lounge.
"Consumers want to be freed from being tied to the location of their home computer, accessing their PC on their own terms - where and when they want," said Christopher Franey Managing Director ViewSonic Europe. "ViewSonic and Microsoft are changing the way people interact with their computer, providing technology that is powerful, flexible and mobile, enabling users to work or play anywhere, anytime."
From 12th March on, consumers will be able to purchase the airpanel V110P and V150P and their accessories online from Amazon in all three countries.
The devices are also available at leading outlets with high brand awareness in their respective territories, starting with Karstadt in Germany that makes the ViewSonic Smart Displays available across the country and from www.karstadt.de.
In France, the ViewSonic Smart Displays are on sale in Fnac and Surcouf stores, as well as from the websites www.fnac.com and www.surcouf.com.
In the United Kingdom, the airpanels can be purchased from DSG's PC World and www.pcworld.co.uk.

Both Smart Displays feature a high luminance, full-colour, touch screen display based on Microsoft Windows CE for Smart Displays technology and interoperability with Windows XP Professional on a home PC. The 15-inch airpanel V150P has the additional capability of serving as the primary desktop monitor.
The ViewSonic airpanels offer everything the consumer needs to get the devices up and running right out of the box, integrated wireless 802.11b Wi-FiTM and a USB wireless airsync adapter solution. The long-life battery lasts up to 4 hours. The devices have a 400MHz Intel Xscale processor, 32MB ROM, 64MB SDRAM and a long-life battery.
