ViewSonic unveils two new LCD projectors for professional presentations and home entertainment
ViewSonic, a worldwide leader and innovator in visual display products, announces two new arrivals to its range of LCD projectors. While the PJ510 will excite those looking for a versatile addition to their home entertainment centre, the PJ650 is the ideal portable projector for the professional presenter and a great office tool.
The ViewSonic PJ510
The latest films on DVD, TV or video really come to life when played through the PJ510. Progressive Scan Video technology and compatibility with HDTV signals as well as other video and data sources make it a very attractive addition to any home entertainment centre. It boasts a brightness value of 1,200 ANSI lumens and a true resolution of 800x600 pixels, scalable to 1600x1200. The contrast ratio is 300:1. The result: bright, clear crisp images – even in well-lit environments – that bring the action right into the room. Selective positioning of 16:9 images is also included for wide-screen enjoyment.
Naturally, with its top rate visual performance, the PJ510 certainly holds its own as an office model. Its weight of just 2.9kg means it is also particularly useful for the mobile professional. The easy set-up system allows fast, trouble free synchronisation and focusing so the meeting can start without delay. The whisper mode extends lamp life up to 4,000 hours and reduces noise output to 27dB, one of the best in the market.
The ViewSonic PJ650
Aimed at the quality conscious business user, the PJ650 is a really versatile office tool. And with its compact size and weight of only 2.7kg, this model is particularly suited to the mobile professional moving from client to client. Packing 2,000 ANSI lumens and a 1024 x 768 XGA native resolution, this projector does not fail to impress. Ultra-bright, crisp, clear images are assured in virtually any presentation environment. The contrast ratio is 350:1.
Dual RGB inputs allow connection of two PCs simultaneously or the addition of a video source to create dynamic multimedia presentations. To adjust the image size to suit almost any room, this LCD projector has a zoom function and the short focal length means an optimum presentation is possible even in smaller locations. Horizontal and vertical keystone corrections are also included for easy image adjustment. On top of these features, the PJ650 also includes ‘MyScreen’ functionality enabling any user to create a personalised start up screen.
But when something’s this good, why keep it just for work? Compatibility with HDTV signals and other video and data sources means it can be used to watch DVDs, TV or videos in home-cinema style at the end of a busy day. The aspect ratio may be adjusted between 4:3 and 16:9 according to the source. Last but not least, the whisper mode reduces noise output during operation and extends lamp life up to 4,000 hours.
