    Our Green Commitment

    ViewSonic respects the environment and is dedicated to managing and minimizing the use of materials that may damage the earth’s ecology. ViewSonic has committed to being an industry pioneer by carrying out a complete green overhaul of our displays, from CCFL-backlit models to LED-backlit ones, in 2011. As a RoHS-compliant and ISO 14001:2004-certified organization, ViewSonic firmly adheres to environmental legislation and regulations. We are committed to developing green products, emphasizing recycling and waste reduction, and training our employee-partners to conduct their activities in an environmentally responsible manner.

    Code of Conduct

    This Code of Conduct and the related documents were formally adopted by ViewSonic Corp. The Code of Conduct is a set of standards on international labor law, social responsibility and environmental issues in the organization.

      ViewSonic shall not engage in or support the use of child labor.

      ViewSonic shall not engage in or support the use of forced or compulsory labor.

      ViewSonic shall provide a safe and healthy workplace environment and shall take effective steps to prevent potential health and safety incidents and occupational injury or illness arising out of, associated with or occurring in the course of work.

      In situations where the right to freedom of association and collective bargaining are restricted under law, ViewSonic shall allow workers to freely elect their own representatives.

      ViewSonic shall not engage in or support discrimination in hiring, remuneration, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, national or territorial or social origin, caste, birth, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, family responsibilities, marital status, union membership, political opinions, age or any other condition that could give rise to discrimination.

      ViewSonic shall treat all personnel with dignity and respect. ViewSonic shall not engage in or tolerate the use of corporal punishment, mental or physical coercion or verbal abuse of personnel. No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed.

      ViewSonic shall comply with applicable laws, collective bargaining agreements (where applicable) and industry standards on working hours, breaks and public holidays.

      ViewSonic shall respect the right of personnel to a living wage and ensure that wages for a normal work week, not including overtime, shall always meet at least legal or industry minimum standards. Wages shall be sufficient to meet the basic needs of personnel and to provide some discretionary income.

    ViewSonic Conflict Minerals Policy

    Conflict minerals are minerals mined in conditions of armed conflict and human rights abuses, notably in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The DRC in Central Africa is one of the places facing most serious conflict in the world. The most commonly mined minerals are Cassiterite, Wolframite, Coltan and Gold, which are ores that contain Tin, Tungsten, Tantalum and Gold, so called 3TG.

    ViewSonic, being a member of electronics industry and civil society, is committed to protecting the environment and the communities, and to operating in a socially responsible way in its LCD monitor supply chain. The actions are addressed as below,

    • ViewSonic will do its best to avoid from purchasing parts, components, and materials containing 3TG from any known conflict region.
    • ViewSonic has notified its suppliers of its policy on conflict materials. ViewSonic suppliers are expected to ensure the parts, components, and materials that they supply to ViewSonic are DRC conflict-free.
    • ViewSonic supports the implementation of the EICC (Electronics Industry Citizen Coalition) and GeSI’s (Global e-Sustainability Initiative) guidelines on Conflict-Free.
